TV Production (Correspondence course)


The course introduces small format digital video production to students who are not primarily film or television specialists. The material emphasizes proper filmic techniques and editing conventions in video productions. Students will explore the basic of traditional and tele visual expression and became familiar with the limitations and opportunities of the emerging digital technologies and platforms.

Correspondence Production/Direction course has been designed to provide necessary education and training in the art and craft f screen presentation. Due emphasis is laid on television journalism and writing for the screen with a view to making the training of a producer/director truly broadcasted.

Learning Objectives
By the end of this correspondence course the students will be able to:
  • Write script and treatment
  • Plan video shoot
  • Shoot  video
  • Know the basics of shooting techniques
  • Know does and don’t od editing
  • Learn the basic terminology of film and television
  • Understand leader’s qualities and the importance of teamwork
 The course is approved by the Government of Pakistan and students will get the certificate after examination by SDC Ministry of Labour and Manpower Government of Pakistan.
